About Us

In the summer of 2012, a group of past students from Munro and Hampton started hanging out weekly at the then business place of a Hampton Old Girl. By September, we had a group with president, Dona-Lee Messam-Raymond and co-vice presidents, Sherone Mullings and Olivier Stephenson.  On March 1, 2013 we registered as a corporation, Munro-Hampton Alumni Association Inc, and by June, 2014 we achieved our tax-exempt 501(c)(3) status.

Horace Cox had joined the group in 2013 and in February, 2014 became co-president with Dona-Lee, a position he holds until today. In 2019, Sophia Collins took on the title of co-president alongside Horace and was succeeded in 2020 by Coleen Lyn-Forbes.

What a team! Small, committed and dynamic! Since 2014, this Florida-based team has been instrumental in delivering to Munro College and Hampton Schools in St. Elizabeth, Jamaica, a combined total in excess of US$55,000, positively affecting many young lives.

Not only has the group raised well-needed funds but has hosted many fun-filled events. Past-students, their families and friends, and friends of Munro and Hampton have together enjoyed good food and fellowship. WE ARE FAMILY and we pledge to always take care of the younger ones and to support each other in every way that we can. Come join us and let’s do this together…
